RPFF 2020 Fundraiser

Support Diverse Filmmaking Today!

The Regent Park Film Festival shares vital stories by Black, Indigenous and People of Colour (BIPOC) artists that break stereotypes and shows that no one place, or person has just one story.

Storytelling has always been important in our society – as a tool for education, exploration and expression. Now, as we are required to maintain our distance, storytelling through film will keep us connected to each other and to the issues that shape our society today.

We ask that you join us in celebrating these films and raising funds to enable RPFF to keep bringing new tales to our screens – by hosting your own Viewing Party of the film QUEST.

Together as a community we would like to raise $5,000.

This will help us:
  • Pay BIPOC filmmakers to screen their films at our 18th Annual Film Festival this November
  • Support emerging BIPOC filmmakers through training and professional development
  • Bring underrepresented stories to diverse audiences through year-round screenings

How it works:

1. Email info@regentparkfilmfestival.com and let us know you’ll be hosting a viewing party!

2. Send your friends and family the Poster and Invite to your Quest viewing party and ask them to make a $25 donation to RPFF online.

3. We will send you a private link to access the film online, and discussion questions that can help unpack the issues of race, class, parenting, community and healing that the film explores.

4. Once everyone in your party has made their donation online, share the viewing link and discussion questions with them.

5. Hold a viewing party + discussion between September 4th and September 20th :
a. At home with your bubble or
b. Using social distancing or
c. Separately, and then get together virtually for a discussion of the film

6. Share your Quest Viewing Party moments with us on social media with the hashtag #RPFFCommunity
