Québékoisie

Thirtysomething filmmakers Mélanie Carrier and Olivier Higgins travel by bike on Route 138 from Quebec to Natashquan in search of stories of the region’s Indigenous peoples and communities along the way. Why, they ask, are so many Quebecers ignorant to the plight of First Nations peoples, even though studies show more than half have at least one Aboriginal ancestor? Quebekoisie explores the notion of prejudice, its persistence, and how it can be overcome.
