Bound

Bound is a collaboration between Regent Park School of Music, ArtHeart Community Art Centre and Regent Park Film Festival, facilitated by Alejandra Higuera. The visuals were created by the participants of the ArtHeart Elder Program through a discussion around geographic, personal and political boundaries. Drawing on this theme the soundtrack was composed by the Regent Park School of Music’s community band. The film explores the ways in which we are often bound by people, rules, borders, expectations and personal beliefs. This stop-animation film inspires us to see different ways of becoming unbound and free.

Participants: Claire Mercer, Gaetan Genesse, Nathan Guest, Rhea Nicholas, Robert Gretton, Ronnie Napoleon Pereira, with support from Judy Ruck and Kathy Cook and The Regent Park School of Music Community Band, led by David French and Brad McGoey.
