Told from the perspective of an independent Member of Parliament and his young Haitian protégé, My Internship in Canada (Guibord s’en va-t-en guerre) is a lighthearted story about coming to Canada and figuring out how our political process works. The film is in French with English subtitles. For more about the film, watch the trailer or read a synopsis.

Following the screening, we’ll bring together a panel of political and media figures (to be announced) to explore some of the uniquely Canadian issues and experiences portrayed in the film, moderated by Buzzfeed Canada’s Elamin Abdelmahmoud.
